Aim and Scope:
User-centric media aims at offering real-time natural interaction with
media using mobile and tangible interfaces and ubiquitous connectivity
capabilities. This International InterMedia summer school invites PhD
students in the fields described below to submit position paper
relating a
problem statement, methodological approach, potential for innovation and
expected contribution to user centric media. Authors will be expected to
present their works at International InterMedia Summer School (June
9-12,
2009). 6 selected papers will be considered to be published in the
Journal
of Computer Animation and Virtual Worlds, J. Wiley.

Topics:
Suggested topics for papers include, but are not limited to, the
following: - Dynamic distributed networks for nomadic access of
multimedia - Multimedia content adaptation and handling
- Mobile, wearable and tangible interfaces
- Mobile spontaneous interaction with contents
- Integration of physical worlds and virtual worlds
- Social interaction support in physical and virtual worlds
- Adaptive 3D visualization on mobile devices
- Real-time and interactive networked media in mobile mixed
reality
- User generated 3D content and search
